On the Making of the Movie (Adrianne Jones)

Adrianne Jones’ mother Linda Jones said that the reminders of her daughter’s death are very painful for her to relieve. Especially when she looks over at the tree that was planted in her honor. She tries not to visit the school campus very often. Her father Bill Jones is still very angry about it. He feels that no one is really interested in her, but that she has become sort of a name of victim so to speak. Her killers David Graham and Diane Zamora got more attention than the victim.

Tidbits
After her death the offers were coming in for tv shows and movie production companies. They were ruthless in their treatment of the case. The Joneses were offered hundreds of thousands of dollars for the rights to their story, but they turned down the offers. The movie was made without their permission.

Adrianne Jones Photos

Adrianne Jones was considered to be really "good looking." Boys loved her. The girls were envious of her, but she was well liked. She had hazel eyes, blonde hair, and a pretty figure. Her body was both athletic and sexy. Her mother called her "bubble butt" because of her round bottom that moved in a sensuous way when she walked.

When Boys Murder Girls (other cases)

Here are a few more cases of young girls who were murdered by male acquaintances. These stories are not affiliated with the movie above or the real story above.

Louisiana 1990 Teen Girl Murdered
An officer saw a torn shirt and a blood stain on Smiling Acres Rd. The police retrieved the shirt and kept it for evidence. A missing girl named Rebecca A. Forbes, 19, had vanished wearing a white shirt. The police began investigating her disappearance.  The shirt was examined for trace evidence. An investigation revealed that she was preparing to go to the Italian Festival in Louisiana. While at the festival she was seen talking to a man . His name was Kelly Drott. He had a criminal record. When the police questioned him he said that he last saw her at about 10 pm at the festival. Blood specs were found in his vehicle. The blood in the car matched the blood on the shirt. 3 weeks later a badly decomposed body was found on the bank of the river. A piece of crystal found at the scene on Smiling Acres Road matched a watch that belonged to the victim. Police believe that Kelly Drott and Rebecca Forbes left the festival after midnight, and they drove to smiling acres road. They must have had some sort of an argument and Drott killed her. He was arrested and charged with her murder. Drott is serving a 21 year prison sentence.

Extra Tidbit
Drott made headlines again a few years later when he broke out of prison and kidnapped another girl and held her hostage. The girl survived. Kelly W. Drott shot himself to death.
